At Sylvért, every collection is born from fibres of verifiable origin. The goats, the shepherds, the hands - all are known to us. As a standard procedure, we submit a randomised batch of garments for fibre authentication with the relevant regulatory body.
This method ensures truth without excess.
And in all our years, not one counterfeit has crossed our path. For those who wish for more - for something printed, recorded, sealed - an individual certificate of authenticity may be requested.

This process will add a minimum of 2 - 3 weeks to the delivery time.

As you individual garment will be sent for government lab testing and GI tracking. What you will receive is not simply a document, but a small archive:

• A personalised printed brochure, prepared for your piece alone

• An official GI (Geographical Indication) tag - Providing details on your garment such as composition, exact location of origin, right down the herd that the wool was collected from.

• The GI Tag is a digital certificate, verifying:
  - The region and altitude of harvest
  - The name of the shepherds and their Changthangi goats
  - The season of collection
  - The artisan or manufacturer responsible
  - A formal stamp of verification from the certifying body

It is not required.
It is simply offered -for the collector, the curator, or the quiet custodian of provenance.

For those gifting a garment, the certificate becomes part of the gesture: not a receipt, but a remembrance.
For others, it is an heirloom in paper and thread.
